Rob’s life is a profound reminder of what God can do in people’s lives when they open their hearts to His guidance. Rob’s journey began in a place of darkness, as he found himself entangled in over two decades of substance abuse. A pivotal moment arrived when he chose to seek help instead of succumbing to despair. On November 28, 1992, Rob achieved sobriety, marking the beginning of a new chapter. His spiritual awakening during a Christmas Eve mass further solidified his commitment to faith and sobriety, setting him on a path of transformation. One of the most moving parts of Rob’s story is his arrest by Officer Bud Latham for a DUI—a moment that Rob now sees as a divine intervention. This event was a catalyst that led him to express gratitude for the life-saving encounter and reinforced his resolve to live a life of purpose. After relocating to Hollywood, Rob faced challenges but found his calling in a homeless ministry. He emphasized compassion over perfection, challenging church culture that prioritized conversion over genuine care. His experiences fueled a passion for addressing hypocrisy and inspiring change within religious organizations. This journey of reflection and growth even led him to start a podcast to share stories of transformation and hope. Rob’s story didn’t stop there. Moving to Alaska, he authored the “Cruising Toward Heaven” book series, drawing on his struggles with depression. A serious injury during this time became another opportunity for faith to shine through, as a chance encounter at Starbucks connected him to a faith-based film project, leading to a Christian Book Award. Rob’s journey of faith and transformation has inspired him to start the Knoxville Christian Film Festival, collaborating with others to emphasize diverse Christian content. Despite challenges, his commitment to seeking divine guidance remains steadfast, as he plans to fund other Christian initiatives and launch a new podcast in January 2025 to promote the festival and faith-based content. Rob’s story is a powerful reminder of the impact that one life, transformed by God’s love and grace,
