Acts 3 tells the story of a man who was crippled from birth and sat begging outside the temple. Peter and John encountered him and healed him in the name of Jesus, causing a commotion among the people who witnessed the miracle. Peter then preached a message in the temple, proclaiming that the power to heal came from Jesus, who the people had unjustly crucified. Many people were moved and believed in Jesus, leading to a growth in the early church.
