About

In the 1860's, circus performer boarded a train in Nashville, heading towards Memphis. Shortly after, there was an accident and the train derailed. There were no reported injuries, but some of the circus animals that had been locked in cages escaped. Most of the animals were recovered, but not all of them. Two creatures known as the “Wolfmen” escaped and were never found again. The remaining circus performers were put on another train and the next day they moved on to another city.A few years later, two men who were traveling through the area stopped to get some water at the spring and felt like they were being chased. What was described as a “Sasquatch-like” monster attacked and killed one man, while the second man was able to escape, running back to Burns Station to tell someone about this “werewolf” and what had happened. A hunt party was formed to track the beast and was successful in shooting it, but the shots left the creature unfazed. A big game hunter was brought in to track the beast and successfully shot it, but it was unfazed by the bullets, once more, but ran away at the first glimpse of sunlight that morning. You can access Werewolf Springs by taking an 11-mile overnight hiking trail within Montgomery Bell State Park.Follow Dennis Carroll: https://www.DennisWCarroll.comFollow Jessica: https://thecryptidhuntress.com https://www.youtube.com/c/TheCryptidHuntress https://Patreon.com/thecryptidhuntress https://www.facebook.com/TheCryptidHuntress https://www.instagram.com/thecryptidhuntress/  https://www.etsy.com/shop/WarWomanGoods https://www.youtube.com/@SpacedOutRadio
