About

Join Dr. Holmes as she interviews Andrea Pollack Andrea received her undergraduate, law, and M.S.Ed. degrees from the University ofPennsylvania. She began her law career at Cravath, Swaine, and Moore and then heldSr. VP positions at HBO and Time Inc. and was a managing partner in the NY office ofQuinn, Emanuel. When her son was diagnosed with autism, Andrea and herhusband joined with a group of other parents to help start a school in New York City.Though the school was successful, it was not a good fit for her son, so after a 19-yearlaw career, Andrea left the practice of law to home school her son. After nearly eightyears of homeschooling, her son returned to school and Andrea knew that herfuture was in education, not law. She returned to school as well and earned aMasters degree in Education (M.S.Ed.) to enhance her ability to create an integratedprogram of education and support for parents. She created Autism Parent Solutionsto streamline the process for parents to learn effective, practical strategies toempower them to meet parenting challenges, increase confidence, reduce parentingstress, and improve child and family outcomes.
