After graduating from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas, Lorraine entered the business world with enthusiasm and optimism to make a positive difference in the community. She created the National Barrier Awareness Foundation, a precursor of the Americans With Disabilities Act, with the purpose of educating communities about the attitudinal, architectural and communicative barriers that face by individuals with disabilities and their families.Her career of 30 years has seen her at the helm of several successful start-ups in the communications and marketing industries specializing in non-profits, professional associations, and consumer products. She has earned numerous national professional and community service awards and recognitions, including 5 global awards, 16 national awards, 12 state awards, 1 regional award and 15 local awards.
