About
There are two types of expectations... Shared agreements made between people, like exchanging vows on your wedding day or signing a contract - you understand you have a responsibility and you expect something in return from the other person(s) involved. And then there are implied expectations... For example, a mother expects her grown child to come home for the holidays or a waitress expects to be tipped well for good service - this is more of an unspoken assumption that was never actually "agreed" upon by everyone involved. This type of expectation is yours alone and it’s simply not fair to hold others to it, even when you’re left disappointed. In this episode, Dr. Keesha and Regan Claire talk about how our expectations play a huge role in our disappointment and the importance of not letting it stop you in your tracks - but to take your experiences and gain the wisdom you need to go from disappointment intolerance to tolerance of disappointment.
