Yet, in the midst of this storm, she chose to volunteer for Afghan rescues. What began as an act of service soon blossomed into a paid position, affirming that God’s plans often unfold in unexpected ways. Ann’s life journey is a tapestry woven with experiences of early parenthood, wrestling with religious teachings, and a transformative encounter with God after seeking forgiveness post-abortion. Her exploration of faith led her through diverse denominations and even into political activism after the events of 9/11. Initially, she adopted extreme views influenced by a far-right evangelical group, but a spiritual journey in September 2012 brought her to seek the truth about Muslims and dive deeply into scripture. This quest for understanding not only challenged her views on leadership and prosperity gospel but also kindled compassion for the Muslim community, particularly after the fall of Afghanistan. During the COVID-19 pandemic, introspection led to volunteering for Afghan rescues, eventually resulting in the founding of a nonprofit, Global Agents of Change, and a consulting firm, Key of David Consulting. Her work with Muslims enriched her faith, sparking significant conversions through a discovery Bible study method. Throughout her journey, she grappled with profound questions, including her belief in Jesus as God. Though finding limited scriptural affirmation, she emphasized obedience and independent truth-seeking as cornerstones of her faith.
