About
In Galatians 4, Paul talks about the difference between slavery and freedom in Christ. He begins by saying that while we were once slaves to the law, Jesus has come to free us from its bondage. Paul then uses the analogy of an heir and a slave to illustrate this point. He explains that we are no longer slaves to the law, but instead, we are heirs of God and have received the same inheritance as His son, Jesus. Paul urges his readers not to go back to their former ways of living as if they were still under the law, but instead to live as free children of God. He concludes the chapter by reminding his readers to remember the persecuted state they were once in and to treat others with kindness and compassion.
