About
John 7 opens with Jesus telling his brothers who had urged him to go to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles that he was not yet ready to go, but later went secretly. At the feast, Jesus teaches openly and is questioned and opposed by the religious leaders. He also offers living water to those who thirst, saying that whoever believes in him will have streams of living water flowing from within them. The chapter ends with divided opinions: some believe in Jesus, while others seek to arrest him.
