About
Kenneth Eugene Smith was hired by Reverend Charles Sennett Sr. to kill his wife, Elizabeth Doreen Sennett. Smith, along with John Forrest Parker, beat and stabbed Elizabeth to death in her Alabama home. The murder was staged as a home invasion. Smith was convicted and sentenced to death, but his conviction was vacated on appeal. He was retried and sentenced to life without parole, but the judge overruled and sentenced him to death again. Parker was also sentenced to death and executed in 2010. Williams, another accomplice, was sentenced to life and died in prison in 2020. Smith's execution was scheduled multiple times but was botched and ultimately called off. He was later scheduled to be executed by nitrogen hypoxia, a method that had never been used before in Alabama. Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast.
