On this episode of "Off the Trails" on Spaced Out Radio, Jessica sits down with Vietnam Combat Veteran Bob O'Kelley to discuss his deployment to the jungles of Vietnam, where he and his team were ambushed by a Sasquatch-like creature.Bob O'Kelley grew up in Atlanta, graduated from the University of West Georgia in 1970, and was immediately drafted into combat in Vietnam. Most of his early adult life was spent in Atlanta selling building materials. Later in life, he owned a residential construction company. In his late fifties, he was employed by the military contractor KBR as a truck driver in Iraq during the recent war there. It was there he wrote his first book, “The Original Baby Boomer,” and his second “Bad Roads for Good Men.” “The Original Baby Boomer” is a novel about his experiences in Vietnam. “Bad Roads for Good Men '' is a novel about his experiences driving a truck during the Iraq war.On return to the states, he retired to Carrollton, GA, where he now lives. Since retiring, he has written four more novels, all under the pseudonym Roland O’Connor.
