After his parents left, Hanuman was left solely in the care of his foster father Vayu. After some years in the forest, Hanuman thought to himself that there must be more to life than just eating and playing in the forest. He was anxious to see the world and meet great saints. Vayu advised him to go to Kishikanda and befriend Sugriva.
