About
In the late 1890’s Nepal villagers began disappearing from the forests and surrounding areas at an alarming rate. They soon discovered that they were being attacked by a 500 pound Bengal tiger. The Nepal army was able to scare the tiger to the Champawat region of India, but not before it had claimed the life of 200 villagers. In Champawat, its killing rampage continued, claiming 236 more lives. This week, we’ll discuss The Champawat Maneater and why it started targeting humans as its prey, why it claimed so many human lives, and the man that was able to finally stop her killing spree!
