Something deadly walks the Norfolk Southern Railway Trestle. Just outside the Highlands in Louisville, Kentucky, in an small area known as Popelick, named for the creek that runs under the old train bridge, a monster supposedly makes it’s home in the crags and crevices of the railway trestle. Though never rightfully sighted or documented, the legend of the creature claims a body count so high that official numbers remain unreleased. Tonight we’ll examine the Legend of the Popelick Monster and discuss just what the Goatman may be, where it came from, the story’s connections with further high strangeness in the area, and of course, just how the creature, or perhaps the spirit of the legend itself, has lured many to an unfortunate and untimely death on the tracks of the Norfolk Southern Railway Trestle.
